Reporting Claims of Copyright Infringement

Mxstyles, LLC respects the intellectual property rights of others and takes copyright infringement claims seriously. In compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we will promptly respond to properly submitted notices of alleged infringement that meet legal requirements.

If you believe that any content available on or through our website infringes upon your copyright, you may request that the material be removed or access to it be disabled by submitting a written DMCA notice to our designated copyright agent.

To be effective, your DMCA notice must include the following:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. A clear identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed (or a representative list if multiple works are involved)
  3. A description of the specific material you believe is infringing and where it is located on the site
  4. Your full contact information, including your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate
  7. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

Misrepresenting copyright claims may result in legal consequences, so please ensure the information you provide is truthful and accurate.

Please note: If your DMCA notice does not meet all of the requirements outlined in Section 512(c)(3) of the DMCA, it may not be effective. Additionally, under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, you may be held liable for any damages (including legal fees and costs) if you knowingly and materially misrepresent that content on our site is infringing your copyright.

Counter Notification Procedures

If you believe that content you posted was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a Counter Notice by sending written notification to the copyright agent listed above. Your Counter Notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material that was removed or disabled, and the location where it appeared before removal
  3. Your full contact information (name, address, phone number, and email)
  4. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the content was removed or disabled due to a mistake or misidentification
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district where your address is located (or any U.S. judicial district if you live outside the U.S.), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original DMCA notice (or their agent)

If we receive a valid Counter Notice, the DMCA allows us to restore the content within 10 business days, unless the original complainant files a court action against you.

Please note: If you knowingly misrepresent that material was removed in error, you may be held liable for damages (including legal fees) under Section 512(f) of the DMCA.

Repeat Infringers

Mxstyles maintains a strict policy regarding copyright violations. In appropriate circumstances, and at our sole discretion, we may disable or terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers of intellectual property rights.
